Markiesha Alleyne is an established business professional with qualifications in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. As a young child, Markiesha sometimes accompanied her mother, Gloriel, to the airport, hotels and tours. Though she would be the first to admit that she is not capable of doing what her mother does, Markiesha developed a keen interest in the Tourism industry as she interacted with the tourists, many of whom were Americans. As an undergraduate student, she would occasionally manage the company that her mother worked for, during their employer’s leave of absence.
After the completion of her Psychology undergraduate degree, Markiesha migrated to the United States of America where she attained a greater understanding of the mindset of international residents travelling from abroad. While in the U.S., Markiesha successfully completed her Master of Arts degree in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology. She was able to gain valuable experience and knowledge in the varied job opportunities she had and became versed in the world of business.
Markiesha returned to her homeland, Barbados, after residing in the US for almost 10 years and decided to revisit her dream. Armed with her inspiration, an idea and the help of her supportive family and friends, Markiesha was able to begin her entrepreneurial journey and Baywater Tours was born.
